Hello all.

I just have to respond to this one, so please forgive me if it sounds rough.

First of all Dave Carroll is reachable.  My husband and I have spoken to him not that long ago.  He's in the process of moving, and health wise not doing so well and awaiting further treatments.   He's just put a halt on the business to get his health and move in order.

As the owner's of the VG30.com install car used on his website, I can assure you the VG30.com is not out of business and he'll return calls and messages when his health permits him to do so.  Please don't think he's forgotten anyone or trying to hide.  His health is the biggest factor here and right now it's a day to day struggle.

Dave is still out there....please be patient.

Get the Nissan motorsport book! has part#s
The dealers dont know stuff like that off hand.
The motorsport book sells Corillo Rods .Im sure the average moron isnt going to know this unless he sees a part#

nmc.race@nissan-usa.com (nissanmotorsport) 310-538-2610

Could also ask dave at vg30.com but good luck

this guy might know or make some manifolds also vg@teamthump.com

OK I got this out of the Motorsport book(which you should all get!!!!!!!)

The VG30 out of the Saudi Arabian spec Nissan Cedric uses a 2 barrel mainifold
It will bolt up to any SOHC VG30 Part# is 14003-V6501

It must be used with Hitachi IC dist(electronic) so to covert to carb part# 22162-V6402 Distributor
22162-V6403 dist cap
22157-V6400 dist rotor

dist base plate must be used to install in VG33(what ever that comes from)

This all came from the motorsport book!!!!!!!!!

As for carbs I dont know what they use but I seen
Dave Carrols set up using a Holley 2 barrel on his VG30.
Thats all I know. Im a Lseries guy and will stay that way.

A couple questions: onekickkawi where did you find another kit? The only kits I found was from Dave Carrol. Dave's look REALLY clean and nice, but I love to shop around.

Secondly, does anyone have any any hp figures that are dyno proven with the carbureted setup? Thanks

broddster_57.

Well this is going to be EZ cause Dave Carrol doesnt make them any more that I know of. Maybe email him and good luck cause youll wait forever dealing with him.

Here is anotherlink of a guy making another kit.
Word of wisdom buy the kit now cause they donr come around already made up. If you want one buy it instead of talking about it. I remember Dave had some around but people were to cheap to buy them.

Heres the link if it takes

Dave has carbed version but dont know any more since he moved.

The nissanmotorsport book has some conversion pieces.

http://vg.teamthump.com/

has VG kits forsale and Jason is a cool guy too.  As for a carb... why?  They suck get worse gas mileage and are old school.  Stick with factory EFI and you will be much better off.  As for dyno info check out www.datsuns.com lots of good info there.
