hey, whats up to everyone, i was wondering, what wheel size is everyone running, and how does it fit?  did you have to roll the fenders, use spacers, flair the fenders???  i was hoping to try and fit 14x7 panasports on a 71' Sedan with lowering springs and shocks, by the way, the stock rim and tire combo really tucks, so its kinda cool.

ive bein running 13 inchers forever.Mags that were heavy and wider than stock in the back but tucked under my dropped front ,looked nice but too heavy. After years i finally got 13 centerlines that are alot lighter and look really sick.

Smaller wheels work like lowering your gearing .i dont really know much about all this tire size stuff but thats my 2 cents.

Datsuns gone , VW's gone , but the knowledge remains

I think most dimers run 14" But thats a real generalization. The important thing to pay attention to is the offset; should be around 4.25" or more. I've got 13"enkeis and a set of 14" black mesh something-or-others! Another thing to watch out for with 13's is caliper clearance should you want to jump up to 280ZX struts that have the larger brakes. Most 13" rims (not all) won't clear the larger calipers. So if you're looking at a future brake upgrade, I'd go with at least 14's but thats just me! You know "opinions are like A........ Everybody has one!

The 14x6 inch 6-star aluminum wheels from the 1980-83 280ZX with T-tops are a good fit for a 510 and are also the lightest Datsun wheel made in the old RWD 4-lug setup. Well, and they look nice too when polished up.

Awalker510'
Do they make 14in Panasports? I never seen one. I seen 13 and 15in and now the 16 is coming out.
I believe the offset w/ the 7in is just a little to wide. I think a 6in wide rim is perfect for a stock 510.
I had enkie 92 on a fender flared 510. 7in wide rim. But i dont know the offset. Ck datsunworld.com (uk website) It has a photo of my old red/wht/blu 510.
A cheap alternative is the 280zx turbo wheels, and a mesh one also.
There is also th 200sx 32pt&16 pt snowflake wheel. I have the 16 pt one on my beatup 510.but I need 1/4in spacers so the front wheel was rubbing to close to the strut(offset)The wheel weifgt were hitting.
the 32pt one is a nice and inexpensive wheel.
Panasports are great looking on stock lowered 510.

Last I checked, I thought they had 14 inch Panasports, but maybe not. I wasn't seriously interested. yes, the 15 inch 280ZX turbo wheels are nice too. 1982-83 models. The 1981 models have a 15 inch snowflake look simular to the 200SX wheels.

I had a Z with those 14x6 inchers on there, and the tires were 225/60/14. Pretty wide for a 6 inch width wheel but it worked fine. You might want to go with 215 width if your car is lowered.

My girlfriend's wagon has 15" 4 lug wheels from an 84 300ZX with a 205X50 tires, they don't rub and they handle great in the mountains of North Carolina.
