I just recently got my first 510 (70 wagon) running. Earlier this week, the radiator sprung a leak. I bought a scirocco radiator and am putting it in tomorrow... I hope. Anyway, the original radiator is in really good shape, it just split where the top is crimped on. Right in the middle of the top, facing the engine. About 2 inches wide. No actual metal damage. The crimp just came loose. I figured, why mess with it. just upgrade. $80 for a brand new one was a no brainer. They are manufactured about 1/4 mile from my house. But i figured, someone who is restoring or is an originality freak might be interested in it... Taking offers... |

Update. I got the scirocco radiator in and it was still overheating. I found that the thermostat had locked shut and the radiator blew because of pressure, not rot...
