Sweet job. That's what I'm fixing to do. Is that a KA24DE? What's it out of?

That things only got a single row chain!? That's insane! I've never seen anything like that... Even the L engines have a double row...

I was going to stop by last weekend but got "busy" you know how it is, you make all these plans then they get all f**k. Me and hainz where going to lower my new truck (sexy huh, it's got some leg room)
![]() but the exhaust was to low. We pressure washed the engine bay to see where the water leak was coming from, and discovered a blown head gasket. It's kinda funny because I got a single cam ka for it haha. I think they are sexier than the dual's myself. Racn I think it is weird about the single row chain, I think the weirder part is its always a rod knock when they are blown.. I have herd of chain failure but never seen it. |

That single row timing chain is one of the reasons the KA24E is somwhat troublesome. The early ones would lose the guides and that single-row chain would flop around, tearing up the timing cover. With proper METAL guide (not the plastic OE crap ones from '89-92ish) they're just fine.

haha it actually runs jeff, and there is no charging problem anymore haha so the only thing we had to do to get it to charge was swap the motor haha come check it out sometime. |

Icehouse gave his Armada wheels away! crazy guy... Good work on the 510. its looking good. I want a KA powered 620!!! I like the look of the DOHC engine better... but I honestly don't care which one I get. Whatever is cheaper and runs as-is will be what I go for when the time comes. if that time ever does come |

haha nice jeff..... the ka didnt take that long to swap anyways the longest part was putting the motor together lol im in 10th grade now, feb 25 i finally turn 16, hopefully with an sr i think the only reason my dad wouldent want to do the swap is because hes never done one before and he wouldent no what all to do |
