Guess what guys, I just got up to oregon and it is time to work on the 620. It is great to be able to actually touch it. I will be posting pictures as I go. Feel free to go to the site they are hosted on for more. So here it goes!

How did you like the seat swap?

I like the style of your old ones...basic no frills!

I havnt accomplished it yet. What you see in the pictures is just a mockup. The old ones were nice but I wanted to add a little bit more style and comfort to it. Plus the old seats smelled old. I want to have the new car smell with a 78. Hence why anything fabric in the interior is going to go and everything else is going to get scrubbed/painted. Depending on how the seats look in the other 2 trucks I bought I may end up selling this set once I get the 350z seats mounted. I have this feeling the 2 weeks I am here to fix this thing are going to go by fast.

Alright, well she runs (added a qt of oil and a new battery). My clutch fan can be stopped by fan (thats not right is it?). And I smoke something horrid (maybe it is the 3 year old gas)? Alright and the major problem.... My rims dont fit!!!   They are hitting on 3 spoke like things on the hub. Note picture below. How would I fix this? I was thinking grinder.... Any suggestions would be great. Remember I am new at any of this.

I can't even tell from pics of my front hubs if I had those nubs... the rust kinda blurrs everything but I had no fitment issues with Pathfinder aluminum wheels.

Javin if you havent already done this youll need to bore out the center hole on the rims to 4 inches. Otherwise they wont fit over those nubs in the front & the raised up part of the rear drums. Youll need a 1/4 inch spacer for the rears also.

Alright guys, looks like the grinding wins out. I know, I know, its probably easier to replace the rims then the hub... oh well! So I will go pick up a pnuematic grinder tomorrow. Ok, I am also going to post pictures of the 2 parts trucks I acquired. I have to tow one out and drive one out here soon. Anyways, if you know of anyone in the portland (Gresham) area that may want one of them I will most likely be selling them before I leave. I need a few parts and whatnot that shouldnt hamper them too much. Message me if

Are you all aware of what those "nubs" do?  If you grind those off you are relying on the studs to keep your wheel centered on the hub, not a good thing!  Ask any tire shop person who knows what they say they do, they will tell you this is a bad idea!  Bore them out man!

First off the wheels that I already have are dont rest on the nubs. Second, this wheel has 6 studs, more than most vehicles and most others dont have the nubs at all! Finally it is easier to just grind those than get bore out. I am all about safety but this is just one of those things that will be fine. I dont plan on there ever being much of a load on my truck anyways. So no worries.

if you use tapered acorn lug nuts, then wouldn't that center the wheel just fine?
