I had an extra 280ZX hood with some dents and rust that is worth nothing.... so I'll use it just temporarily. I filled it up with bondo to fix a couple dents and 'shave' the smaller vent on the passenger side draw a circle with a compas or string tied to a strong magnet and a pencil. Mark the center of the circle too. mark your spacing around the perimeter of the circle. I did 1.5" width for the red and 2" width for the white stripes. Mark with tape from the center point out. Mark off only the white stripes. The rest will be painted red.
Cut ou the tape in the center circle
mask off the rest of The White Stripes
paint
remove tape n stuff
install on turbo Z.... waiting on getting a turbo Z |

Dude its not my design,
I yanked it from a old Honda I saw in GrassRoots motorsport. and a 510 in Calif. The 510 had its Ball start by the fender then go over the whole car. If you have a choice car I wounnt do it unless a true prof job The Hood is ez to do and it fits the image of the jap cars.

Its scares Cameros/Mustangs> cause they think a BANZAI charge is comming. Also the driver is usaully nuts anyways and might sideswipe his car!!!!!!!

Icehouse, Hainz, and I are going to go on little cruises together after I get this baby installed. It looks really good in person. This hood is huge! ...about twice the size of a 510 hood. |

Hmmm....the hood on my red wgn is already white.... :) It would be funny if 6-8 rigs showed up at Ted's bbq with hoods like that!

I was thinking about putting a bunch of stickers on my 510 for shasta to accentuate the fact that it's ugly.. hmm.. Bonzai is looking good !!!!

Y'know, the hood on my blue 4X4 is white... AND I have LOTS of Red paint leftover from painting my 520...

If you have a white car/truck is best to go out over the fenders also.
PS if everbody does this I might have to paint my hood black and make my 510 the African Safari championship car |
