hey guys i really want a 620 to drive and fix up. only think is im short on cash buit will trade my 521 and ALL parts that i have for a farely strate  disc brake 620. that means every piece of sheet metal and all chrome parts extra i have. i just want a decent running 620 that i can fix up. ideally a short box or kingcab. if it has rust  it is ok as long as its not canceruos.i might settle for a long bed even. please help.

My first 620 was a long bed drum braked truck. I didn't like it very much but it worked out ok. I then swapped over to a disc brake kingcab. Ahhh, much better. Hacked up the 7-foot long bed and made a trailer. Now I've got 5-feet and 7-feet of space all in a row. (if needed) I'm not trading my truck though as I like it and really want to get it on the road soon.

Portland meet is June 8th right?

I drove my Z today----  and I'm used to the brakes in the truck now...

MAN I wish I had discs on the truck! I love the way the Z stops! It'll go from 30-0 in like 10 feet without SLAMMING brakes

yeah i know where there is a '77 long bed for $30 but i really like the idea of the dependable disc brakes. that and i can take an isuzu rear disc brake rear end out of a trooper or rodeo or passport. that would work for my rear end. so why not start out with a good start with the original front discs? that and i all ready have a trooper rear end. i'll take care of the gearing later.
