bullet Topic: Door Panel ReDux
    Posted: 02 May 2006 at 5:06pm

Got sick of my door panels half falling off and looking tattered in general. So I picked up some velcro from home depot.

Pulled off the old panel and half the stupid clips stayed in the door

Stupid clips halfway between the door and the garbage can

My panels looked pretty decent on the outside but the inside was poo...

I used some packing tape to hold the cracks together...

I cut the loop side of the velcro into 6" strips and started sticking them to the panel.

I made sure the corners would be covered.

After I got the corners taken care of, I put a 6" strip on the top and bottom of the panel in the middle. Then I cut the hook side of the velcro into 6" strips, stuck them to the hook strips on the door, pulled the backing and stuck the panel to my door.

Now I can just run a plastic putty knife around the door panel to break the velcro and off it comes with no damage.
