I've been wanting to start a thread about my wgn, but haven't gotten around to it. So, I figured I'd start one where I can dump my misc info and pics regarding my wagon.

Took the studs off today and figured I throw in the new strut rod bushings I've had for a few weeks. Hmmm...Sears said a bushing was cracked but they aligned it anyway a couple of months ago. With the new ones in, it's way out of whack now! Since chamber is fixed with the stock control rods, it must have thrown the toe in out of whack. I really need to make myself a toe in gauge so I don't have to blow $60 each time I do something like this.

One trick when changing them is to use a ratcheting tiedown to pull the lower control arm back to relieve the binding from the bushings. It's a lot easier and faster than unbolting the lower arm from the crossmember.

I'm not sure this will go in this wagon...most likely it will end up in a 521, but I scored this at the s/y today. Yellow620 was with me at the time.....I'm pretty sure he thought I was a bit "off"!! :)

I already know what I'm going to be doing with it. I need to find a tape to put in it.....something that just wreaks of the '70's!! Steroid?? Suggestions?? :)

back in '92 i carpooled with some of my friends in a '70 Impala four door with an 8 track player. i got a box of them at a yardsale for $5. the one's i remember best were Kenny Rodgers (Gambler) and Don Ho (a Don Ho Christmas). good times made better with beer.

hhhmmm....I suppose I could resurrect it....it will probably just be a pretty face when installed. I suppose I should go pick up the other two for parts if I think there's a chance of fixing it.

Since sometimes Mike refers to me as his wife, friend, lover, and sometimes his girlfriend, I guess that makes me the "we"  LOL

How about a thread on how to make one and use it correctly? I only ask cause your posts are almost always a good read

Well that and I wouldn't mind knowing....

I was joking! I just forgot the smiley face! I've put up several misguided, or generally dumbass posts so I'm the first to say that not all my posts are good reads.
