Here's one of the pair...any bids????

Just kidding. So I got a pair of doors from 1lo620 (Thanks man) And I decided to get rid of those pesky handles...

and fill in some of those unsightly holes...

So I picked up a donor door (Thanks again 1lo620, hope using my hoist is as much fun as this was:) and marked it for death.

Made sure the filler peice fit and started tackin away (note to self...welding with no helmet sux)

Filled in a few more holes...

Did a little grinding

and because I suck at body work as much as the doors were not straight to begin with, I added a little bondo here and there...

Finished up sanding and got to work on getting the doors to open. I cut down the stock linkage and made it work with the origional key tumbler.

Much better

Then I got to painting. I like the fumes the best...

Laid a little flat black down

I used gloss black on the interior and the window frame...cause I like black

Fit the doors up on my truck

Then I re-installed the glass, seals and trim and put on my new mirror...

mmmmm...all smooth like...

Here's how I get in now... I'll be picking up a door popper kit with all the trimings when I have some $, but for now this is the only way in

No more lockin those doors

and just because it is, I added a new sticker

All in all I really dig my new doors. Gonna get a couple of copies of the key made just in case as it would be really easy to lock them in now. I'll keep one in my wallet for sure. Once I get the selenoids and stuff I will get rid of the key completely.

Right on! The 620's look so good with shaved handles. Your bodywork looks good too.

Thanks guys, it was a pretty cool process. I really like the end result, but I can't wait to do away with the key completely...

Actually Ryan supplied the flat black, spent time playing with his truck (his colored leds behind the grill are so cute) and huffed paint fumes
