Just a little warning to those out there lookin got buy clean 510's. Looks like "J.C." has another clean one hes trying to sell. After True.Dat's experience I'd avoid this guy like the plague.

He just makes his money it seems on finding 510's in OK condition for cheap and repairing them. He's just taking advantage of the high price of these cars and inexperinced buyers.

If you live in the portland area he might not be as big of a hassle as he was in True.Dat's situation (he lived a couple hundred miles away). If you know where hes at and he pulls a scam you can just show up at his place and confront him about it. I'd just warn people you know about him and other friends who are potential buyers.

I saw an ad he put on craigslist but he later deleted it. He was trying to sell the car with a bent head and he was asking for ANY offer over $2700. I'm assuming he spend some money to have it fixed and would likely take a bit more than that for it if you really want it.

yeah i agree w/ gen. Be careful when dealing with J.C. he will tell u anything to make the sale happen. I think he prefer to sell to san diego so he can hide a lot of things. that one was my first 510 and i still like it but i learned my lesson, I hope you are careful when dealing w/ this liar. careful for rust too, because he told me NO RUST at all, and there was a really bad rust spot in passenger tirewell.

I'm actually really surpised you bought a 510 with out seeing it. That can be really risky unless it is from a friend or some one you know well. Theres plenty of stuff an owner won't even see, but you will see clearly.

He said he doesnt know but seen them wheels on race cars before. Konigs will not fit on a Lowered 510. wrong offset. Maybe a 280z.

Car is a nice looking car but ck first if rust free and solid I say its OK

The Dime Quarterly has the ad. Was there when I cked yesterday. Some one should ck locally.or he hopes for a long distance sale like Tru dat did.But he to should have know better.

he has a bad attitude about the sales, and he is a liar. was not my fault, I only tried calling him a couple times and email to check up, but all I got was him ignoring me and hanging up the phone after 2 rings. All I wanted to know was the status. then I found out he was trying to resell it to someone else after he took my money. took him almost a month later from when he said he would originally ship it. I wanted my money back already after only 2 weeks, but he would not give it back to me, and instead he started getting mad at me?? in the end I was stuck w/ a scam.

still to today, he owes me like 400$ worth of parts he never sent. never sent a bill of sale either. Lied about sending registration. used the excuse that he forgot to put a stamp on it.

even if you see it in person, I would do a full check through and try to get it down to 3000$

Looks like a rust free car to me. 3k$isnt all that much for a clean car but be nicer if it had a L20 and sidedrafts already on there then I say GO FOR IT!!!
He said the Konig rewinds will fit if car lowered but I dont think SO!Looks like they stick out to me.

Damn it. I believe the car originally had a L18 with a messed up head. I'm guessing he swapped in a L16.. Damn, i'm so tempted to drop some money on this car :(

I just got a pretty good 510 right now that needs some work but damn thats a good looking car. Any one want to give me a little more info about this car / check it out? Maybe get it to a mechanic to double check it? I'm in eugene other wise i'd consider checking it out.

i'll check it for ya in a day or two and see if my uncle can come with me, hes a mechanic but he doesnt get much time off so i dont know if he can but i'll do my best

Anubis,with all that wrenching you do YOu should be able to ck it out.
Dont leak, no rust ,shifts drives straight ect... it should be good to go (no missing parts or anything)

he sai it can be lowered with those wheels but think hes lying since I mention it to put some people in the back of it so it scwats down. No way a Konig 0 or -9mm 14x7 0r 15x7 offset wheel is going to fit on a lowered 510. My front Panasports +15m barely fit inside.
So he never wrote back

Those wheels are sitting outside the fenders, how are you supposed to be able to lower it??? He's FOS.
