received my Webcamshaft from Flatlander racing.
Seems cheaper to order thru a second party then from the manf even though it sent from Manuf. .488lift 252dur or @.050 230dur 155$ I think I would get a Schneider cam again since they are more asymetric. But seem they have the same casting , CWC on cam. Maybe there is a main caster that does the cam blanks. was about a 2/3 week wait time for cam ![]() |

That's a blank casting, right? So you'll have to have it ground to spec in addition to the cost of the shaft?

Yup, my Crane Cam was about $150 ready to go. I got it through Honest Performance in Federal Way. The straight six Crane Cams were more than double the price though... |

Huh. My eyes decieve me then. Looks like a rough-forged cam blank that has had the bearing surfaces machined but not the lobes.

Does seem weird the the lobes are not machined, you think that would ware your rockers down pretty fast.

Its finished, they have a coating on them to prevent corrosion, most small block chevy cams come that way also.

Well, yes, there are lobes, but cam blanks always have lobes. I dunno. I've always seen 'em shiny. Like the bearing journals are in the pic. But what do I know.

They just put some coating on them when there are done to help break in.

OK, that makes (a little) more sense.
I guess I've gotten too used to seeing parts coated in cosmoline. |
