1969, I just got it back after it was stolen, they gutted the interior and engine bay except for 3.8 block. They didn't bash it up too bad but they spray painted some parts and stole everything that wasn't welded down. I have some work to do.

I'd love to know just what was done to the front end to get the discs on it. It would be awesome if you could put up some pics of the front end next time you have a front wheel off.

here's a pic of the interior, it's pretty much a clean slate. Anyone have recomendations for buckets? I'm 6'4" so I need something short for legroom, it used to have 60's leather mustang buckets but they got stolen with everything else. Oh and it has a Chrysler 8.25 rear-end which accounts for the rear 5 lugs. |

if the front end of the 521 is anything like a datsun 510, the 5-lug conversion shouldn't be too difficult. on the 510, it's just a matter of taking the struts off of 280zx and welding it to the spring perch of the 510, or in this case the 521. i'll have to take a closer look at my truck and see if it's similar. it shouldn't be too different, though - i've got a manual that's listed as a 510/521 manual, so i imagine a lot of the parts of the vehicles are similar. i really like your flat bed - i'm considering taking the rusted-out nasty bed of my truck and turning it into a flatbed as well. you mentioned that you have a 3.8L engine in there? did you do that yourself? i'm juggling around a few engine swap ideas for my 521... i've got a stock L18 in it now (it came to me that way), and i've got a bead on a z22s that i can either drop in as is, or perhaps yank the head off the L18 and build up an LZ-22 hybrid. of course, if i could get my hands on a z24 motor, i'd do an LZ-24 hybrid... that'd roast the tires in all four gears. or five gears... if i get a 5-speed for it. and i suppose i should. |

No I didnt do the swap, it came to me that way. I've pulled the 3.8 already and it's sitting in my garage, it's a strong motor and only has 30k on it but I'm leaning to the side of excess and want to throw a v8 in there. If anybody was interested in the 3.8 for their 521 I'd sell it. |
