are there any concerns of installing Xenon HIDs to replace the stock halogen low beam lights?

I would ck the current rating .
I would use the stock wiring to trigger a relay which is hooked up to bigger wires. The stock wire will not be able to take it |

You're talking about H4 conversions right? ...not real HID. You'll probably want an alternator upgrade to go along with this. if you just plug in some 55w H4 bulbs they will work but they won't be as bright as they could be and your wiring will get warm. If you have any corrosion or damage to the wires they might melt or you'll blow fuses easily. In my 620 I run 55w bulbs with the stock wiring. They work perfect as long as I dont' use my high beams. As soon as the high beams come on, it blows the headlight fuse. |

That's why '73-74 620s are nice for that- they have a headlight relay stock.

ya, a little relay is nice. But I think front disc brakes are better.

I've forgotten what front discs felt like in a 2WD (I have discs on my '78 4X, though).
Can add a relay to anything- front discs, a "little" harder. |
