How much does it usually cost to repair a rust hole about the size of a golfball at the bottom of the driver floor pan. And will body shops usually do it?

Is it on a flat spot? Sounds like 20 minutes work. If you brought it in ready to cut and weld on, I wouldn't expect any more than 50 bucks. You might even check out some of the products from Por-15 and do it yourself.

thanks hawk. yeah its a flat spot. Driver side floor. I'll take some pics later. I'm picking it up later today. a 71 2dr w/ l20b 5sp tranny. Body is decent except for a couple rust spots (driver floor), all primer. Will need new interior though. 2000$, is that a decent price?

Sounds real good to me if it's straight and has good trim pieces. I see them go for much more than that on ebay every day. As long as the rust is minor. I paid that for my wagon. I wish it had the L20 and 5spd. Good luck!
