Wait till Bleach tells Ya the story about this engine change!
here a radiator. always use a new one at this price(3 core) get new carb weber DGV also. Like I said before always take your time building a motor. Never Rush! Being cheap and in a hurry killed this project. http://www.rockauto.com/ref/SPI/Radiators/RadDetailCU638.htm Ryan hope you make it home. You might be needeing that L16 again! get the running lights working correctly again. That truck would be a cool hunting rig |

Or my server has been down for the last week. I just got back from Leavenworth this weekend. This week has been interesting, though. First off, I would like to say thank you to Bleach for going out of his way last weekend to help me. I also nned to thank Hainz for his generousity and for lending a hand. Without your guys' help, I'd still be stranded. These two guys went way out of their way to help me, and show me how things shoulda been done. I was in hurry getting that engine together, and tried to cut a few corners. Without going into too much detail, I'm happy with how my truck is running, (now). I had to rep[lace the throttle cable, rejet the weber, and tighten a few things, but after all is said and done, there aren't any wierd noises, no leaks, the engine actually runs colder than the l16, and I makea lot of usable power. So, thanks to two great Datsun guys, Bleach and Hainz, I owe you both. And Hainz, my truck will never be finished...........And guys, do it right the first time. Luckily, I had good help. Next time I may not be so lucky..........................thanks. |

well about time you wote back
Well get another car as a spare. Then maybe we can do this motor right the next time. So start saving your money. Causse that motor will not last forever. If it does, only cause I tried to get that slack side guide the best arch I could to keep the chain tite. But thats alot force on one little bolt with the lower one broken. Also the lower bolt broken on the tite side. Ps I should have charged you 40$ for the Roadster clutch 5 $ for the oil 2.50 for the side gaskets 1$ for the Go faster oil filter. You get your running light to work correctly? Hows the Roadster clutch? Might not be good for everyday driving but they work GOOD!!!!!!!!Stiff!!!!!!!!!! |

I traced the wire for the running lights and found it had been cut, no problem, easy fix. The clutch is awesome, i owe you for that. Not so bad in busy traffic.

Also fix the valve cover hole you put in the back hitting the water line. I would thread it for a plug and JB weld it. The thread the reg holes unstead of using sheet metals screw(looks half assed).
Impertedcarparts.com has KYB Gas a Just shocks also. That would stiffen up the rig. Maybe even raise it up abit. Thse shocks on there are shot! |

YOu mean Rancho shocks?6200series
Test them next time at a 4x4 place then ck out some KYB Gas A Just. There is a differnce. I think the Gas a Just would be better if Importedcarparts does really sell them. |
