bullet Topic: Weber Carb/Fuel Injection
    Posted: 01 February 2005 at 1:21am
I just bought a 45 DOCE dual weber carb. I was just wondering where do i get the linkage and intake manifold and how would they run on a LZ22 with a stock cam. I have 38mm SU's on now. When is was looking for manifolds i found that they make a fuel injected weber setup. Would that work on the 510? Has anyone done it????

I've seen those four throttle body fuel injection setups for the 4-cyl L-series. Very expensive. But sure, they work. They're made for the Datsun.

Webers for top end power but the SU's will probably do better at low end.  If your LZ22 is built or has a nice cam the Webers would be an overall better choice if you race it or like to go fast.  Some people say that the Webers are harder to keep in tune but I always had good luck with the dual Webers on my 76 BMW 2002.  They were 40's though on a 2 liter four.  Its not that hard to tune them, I did it by ear and they ran perfect excpet in cold weather, theyd ice up since there was no way to warm the venturis.
