What kind of specs you looking for? I have a '68, basically the same. Mine no longer has the J13 engine (has a J15 but those are very hard to find, and only a 5HP gain). What really made mine drivable on the freeway was ditching the 4.88 gears for 4.375s from a newer truck. Lost acceleration but gained the ability to run with Seattle-area traffic. And better suited for the J15 which has more torque.

There are no "easy" swaps. Unlike the later 521, the frame and engine compartment were never designed to have anything bigger than that tiny J13. I've seen L-series engines put in but there is welding involved. If money isn't a huge factor your imagination is the limit.

History? The 520 was produced for the 1966-1968 model years, though some early '66s were titled as '65. It replaced the previous truck model (320) that was built 1961-65. 2 different body styles in the US- early ones had 2 headlights, late ones had 4. There also were 2 transmissions (early had no 1st gear synchro). Was succeeded in 1968 (for the '69 model year) by the 521.

520-model specific parts are VERY hard to find. But not all. Depends on what parts you're looking for- quite a few parts interchange from other years. The parts that are the real pain are body parts forward of the firewall (front clip). Everything bodywise from the firewall back (doors, glass, bed, interior) is the same as a 521.

Brake parts are the same as a 521.

Engine parts crop up on eBay from time to time, but I have yet to see a carbeurator show up. Some engine parts (gaskets, especially) cross to a 1974 MG(B) as the engine is essentially the same design.
