this truck isnt mine yet. but i told the guy i would buy it and im pretty good to my word so its basically mine.

its an '82 with a 5speed and 4wheel drive. all the lights are in the bed of the truck. it was stripped before cause he was gonna paint it but never got around to it.

its got 3" body lift and 33's. the engine does not run. im gonna change all the fluids and get a new battery. Because of the 3" body lift, the wires that go from the top of the distributor do not fully seat on the two canisters on the fender well like they should, so i'll have to adjust those and try to get em on there. HOpefully she willl start up.

closer inspection of the engine makes me think it has a weber carb on it already. i read they came stock with Hitachi carbs, well this one says weber on the side... so im hoping for the best. do the stock carbs also say Weber on the side?

i plan to put on a suspension lift. i could only find one on the internet so far (ive searched for three days, http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/index.php3?page=shop/flypage&product_id=56&category_id=decb6d22d40aa444dd22436dd0231057&ps_session=4c5f716bbd29708d773dc0c00a34627e .  is this the only suspension lift available for these trucks?

i plan on just lifting it and puttin in a decent stereo so i have an everyday driver with a bit better offroad capabilities.

any comments or suggestions are more than welcome :)

if it says weber on the carb.... its a weber... most likely a 32/36 dgv or dgev(dgev...elec.choke...dgv.. manual choke) it is a better carb than stock
80 720 kingcab- "junkyard dog".. l20b, U67 head,weber 32/36dgv,5 speed, toyota corolla seats..2" exhaust w/ a glasspack.. lowered 2"..new brakes, shocks etc etc ..

im getting it for $150 and i actually live in moxee. its like 10 miles east of Yakima. the truck is my uncles and he lives just a mile from me.

that is the straight side of the truck, the bed is rusted through in a few spots and the drivers front fender had some very crappy body work done to it.

i think that since the Bed is the best part of the truck, i might take it off and make a flatbed for it just so i dont ruin the bed 4x4ing.

thanks for the link, ill check it out :)
